What can you say about James Patterson - never disappoints, never going to a literary masterpiece but it is always enjoyable。 It has been a while since I caught up with John and Alex but I soon got back into the family。 Really enjoyable I was given an advance copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own。

Another excellent Dr。 Alex Cross book, keeping you on the edge of your seat with the character descriptions and plot twists you feel the story come alive。 It's James Patterson at his best。 This is a book series you need to read! Another high octane thriller in the Dr。 Alex Cross series ( No。 29) which readers of James Patterson will love。 It can easily be read as a stand-alone but it’s a great series if you want to go back and read more。 Well written this book grabbed me from the start and I read it over the course of a day。 Briefly, as Cross and Detective John Sampson are about to get away on a break to Montana they are called back to investigate the murder of a CIA agent。 When they do eventually get away they find the Another high octane thriller in the Dr。 Alex Cross series ( No。 29) which readers of James Patterson will love。 It can easily be read as a stand-alone but it’s a great series if you want to go back and read more。 Well written this book grabbed me from the start and I read it over the course of a day。 Briefly, as Cross and Detective John Sampson are about to get away on a break to Montana they are called back to investigate the murder of a CIA agent。 When they do eventually get away they find themselves been both pursued by and pursuers of two opposing groups of assassins, both controlled by a man who has stalked Cross and his family for years。 There are some great descriptions of the scenery and great characterisations。 An easy read from beginning to end with a high body count and some brutal twists along the way。 A real page turner and deserves a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating 。。。more

#FearNoEvil #NetGalley Wow! What a rollercoaster。 This book hit the ground running and was jammed packed full of action from page 1。 Great storyline and although this book can be read as a standalone, it would certainly give the reader more enjoyment to know the back story of Alex and Samson and their history with the mysterious M。 This series is always a great read and I very much look forward to the next installment。 Superb 5 star read!

Fear No Evil told from a few different perspectives, plenty going on in this latest novel。 Just as Alex Cross and John Sampson are about to take a break from work, a new mission is brought to them, investigating the murder of a member of the CIA, with cases to follow。 Will they get that vacation they needed?。。。Another great read from James Patterson, I really enjoyed this latest edition of Alex Cross series。 Whilst part of a series, could also easily be read as a standalone。 Look forward to more Fear No Evil told from a few different perspectives, plenty going on in this latest novel。 Just as Alex Cross and John Sampson are about to take a break from work, a new mission is brought to them, investigating the murder of a member of the CIA, with cases to follow。 Will they get that vacation they needed?。。。Another great read from James Patterson, I really enjoyed this latest edition of Alex Cross series。 Whilst part of a series, could also easily be read as a standalone。 Look forward to more from this author。 。。。more

I would like to thank Netgalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for an advance copy of Fear No Evil, the twenty ninth novel to feature Alex Cross。Alex finds himself in the crosshairs of two competing groups of assassins as he and John Sampson end up fighting for their lives in the wilds of Montana。I thoroughly enjoyed Fear No Evil, which is a thrilling read with plenty of action scenes and a strong dose of friendship。 In other words, more of the same that has kept the series strong over the yea I would like to thank Netgalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for an advance copy of Fear No Evil, the twenty ninth novel to feature Alex Cross。Alex finds himself in the crosshairs of two competing groups of assassins as he and John Sampson end up fighting for their lives in the wilds of Montana。I thoroughly enjoyed Fear No Evil, which is a thrilling read with plenty of action scenes and a strong dose of friendship。 In other words, more of the same that has kept the series strong over the years。 This time Alex, John and Bree, Alex’s wife, all come under fire at some point, as do many other characters。 The novel is slightly unusual in that they are caught in the crosshairs of two warring factions and both decide to turn on Alex。 The who and the why I’ll leave you to discover for yourself。 Suffice to say they are compelling, urging the reader to keep turning the pages to find out。 The author is a master of his craft slowly building his plot with a series of set pieces and timely reveals culminating in the shootout in Montana, which is a tense affair。 Then, of course, he throws in a final twist as a last takedown of the reader and perhaps suggest a direction for the next novel。 This last twist did not come as such a surprise as perhaps was intended as I thought it was fairly obvious。There is always a strong bond of friendship and love in this series and that is the case in this novel。 Alex is a supportive husband to Bree and friend to John in their times of need while his family and friends nourish him continually。 Fear No Evil is a good read that I have no hesitation in recommending。 。。。more

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC。 Wow, this was a brilliant read which I really enjoyed。 I feel I know the characters so well from reading previous books and here Alex and Sampson investigate several deaths whilst being hunted by someone from their past, the mysterious M。 I loved that the story was set in quite a few different places and told through the main characters。 I found this to be a well written, fast paced, action packed thrilling read that got off to a gre Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC。 Wow, this was a brilliant read which I really enjoyed。 I feel I know the characters so well from reading previous books and here Alex and Sampson investigate several deaths whilst being hunted by someone from their past, the mysterious M。 I loved that the story was set in quite a few different places and told through the main characters。 I found this to be a well written, fast paced, action packed thrilling read that got off to a great start with the opening chapter and just got better and better。 I was hooked from the first page to the last and this quickly became one of those reads that just grabs and holds your attention and makes you want to continue turning the pages to see what comes next。 Overall a great, entertaining read from this author and one I would recommend。 。。。more

Having read all of the early Alex Cross books but avoided the last few as the series was beginning to feel a bit samey, I was interested to read the latest offering, simply to see if they had changed at all。 I wasn't disappointed, I really enjoyed this one (and will now be going back to read the few I missed!) What an action -packed thrilling read this was with Alex Cross at his best。 A beautifully executed subplot taking us to France and the main plot taking us deep into the wilderness as the mysterious M , drug cartels and the environment all threaten Alex and John Sampson's lives。 As always the thrill and darkness of death and evil is tempered by the beautiful Cross family and Nana mama's cooking。 This longstanding series has evolved over the years into action packed fast paced reads with some bein What an action -packed thrilling read this was with Alex Cross at his best。 A beautifully executed subplot taking us to France and the main plot taking us deep into the wilderness as the mysterious M , drug cartels and the environment all threaten Alex and John Sampson's lives。 As always the thrill and darkness of death and evil is tempered by the beautiful Cross family and Nana mama's cooking。 This longstanding series has evolved over the years into action packed fast paced reads with some being a tad better than others (although I've not read a dud one yet)。 However Fear No Evil was really engrossing and I read it quickly , enjoying every minute。 。。。more

I think at this point in the series you have to be an avid follower of Cross and to be honest it’s more of a religion, this though left me a little confused。 It wasn’t his best and wasn’t the typical psychological thriller more of an action packed fast paced action movie blockbuster。 The M mystery needs to wrap up as it is becoming just too much。 I enjoyed this slight variation to Cross but I do miss the simplicity of the psychological serial murderer stories…。 The team of army vets vs a Mexican I think at this point in the series you have to be an avid follower of Cross and to be honest it’s more of a religion, this though left me a little confused。 It wasn’t his best and wasn’t the typical psychological thriller more of an action packed fast paced action movie blockbuster。 The M mystery needs to wrap up as it is becoming just too much。 I enjoyed this slight variation to Cross but I do miss the simplicity of the psychological serial murderer stories…。 The team of army vets vs a Mexican cartel vs Cross/ Sampson / Bree / Mahoney team was a great combo and really provided an action packed adventure 。。。more

Thank you to Random House UK and Netgalley for this advanced copy of the latest Alex Cross book and wow what a read。 The story was fast paced and was an absolute page turner of a read。 This had me gripped from the very first page to the last。 It had everything you come to expect from a James Patterson book, total action from start to finish。 It is hard to believe that this is the 29th Alex Cross book, still my favourite of all of his series of books。 I would highly recommend this book。 5 stars a Thank you to Random House UK and Netgalley for this advanced copy of the latest Alex Cross book and wow what a read。 The story was fast paced and was an absolute page turner of a read。 This had me gripped from the very first page to the last。 It had everything you come to expect from a James Patterson book, total action from start to finish。 It is hard to believe that this is the 29th Alex Cross book, still my favourite of all of his series of books。 I would highly recommend this book。 5 stars all the way 。。。more

James Patterson puts his hero Alex Cross through the wringer once again in his 29th book, and as always it is a breathtaking rollercoaster。 James Patterson is always at his best when writing by himself in my humble opinion, (although I am looking forward to his upcoming book with Dolly Parton!) and this latest brutal and pacy thriller has the usual characters and elements that his readers have grown to love。 There’s really no such thing as a bad James Patterson book because he’s become a genre u James Patterson puts his hero Alex Cross through the wringer once again in his 29th book, and as always it is a breathtaking rollercoaster。 James Patterson is always at his best when writing by himself in my humble opinion, (although I am looking forward to his upcoming book with Dolly Parton!) and this latest brutal and pacy thriller has the usual characters and elements that his readers have grown to love。 There’s really no such thing as a bad James Patterson book because he’s become a genre unto himself, hitting on a winning formula and able to continually reproduce it。 You know what you’re getting with a Patterson book - a well-written and fast-moving thriller- and “Fear No Evil” delivers it effortlessly。 。。。more
